Calling tax handouts "government benefits" is propaganda. Please clean up your act.

Hi there, Tim. I know from experience that there's rarely ever a way to fully placate folks like yourself, but you actually made a good point. So, I've changed the wording. Let me know if I'm off your blacklist now :). Thanks for reading.

Sorry Tim, I have to interject. My grandpa told me once, "don't be that guy who gets hung up on individual words - you're always gonna miss the bigger picture." I mean, it's fine to critique ideas you disagree with, obviously... but getting hung up on semantics when you're probably in agreement with most of the other stuff is just silly.

industries benefiting from federal subsidies…you mean the industries that made Elon and Vivek into the rich men they are? Plus they have no authority. Does that not belong to OMB? Sorry to be the Debbie Downer here but not taking the hopium.

Hi Lau,

Excellent as always. You have certainly put your finger on some key facts. From these facts we can extrapolate a lot of important questions. I have a few.

I am not necessarily addressing these only to you, but also to your readers.

Who is Peter Thiel? I understand that he bankrolled Trump's previous campaigns as well as 2024's, and he also bankrolled J.D. Vance's from early on. It would be helpful to know a lot more about J.D. Vance. Ultimately, are Donald Trump, Thiel or Vance good guys or bad guys. All of us already know a great deal about Mr. Trump and Mr. Musk. It would not hurt to know more. I have previously (back in April) expressed my feelings about Trump in that time. Those feelings have changed, primarily because of his narrow escape from death by an assassin's bullet. I believe that many might call that event a modern day miracle. This incredible narrow miss must have been transformational in President Elect Trump's psyche. Perhaps, this could transform Mr. Trump into that Walking Saint I talked about back in April as what was needed for a new president. In any event, I do believe that we will see a different Donald Trump in this, his Act II. Let us pray.

Next, I want to address "whether we'll get another shot if they don't".

We, the good guys, need to start a grassroots populist movement now. We must totally abandon the Reds/Blues, Democrats/Republicans, Left/Right system and start a new movement by whatever name, but gathering together in mass the good hearted people of America to oppose the forces of evil, by whatsoever previous labels these two diametrically opposed forces may have been called in the past.

This is already much longer than I intended, so we'll close.

Sincerely,

Liam of Liam's Ladder

"The reality of government reform is simple but brutal: every “inefficiency” is someone's livelihood, every “waste” is someone's program, and every dollar of deficit is someone's payoff."

So we stop bowing to corruption. Those on the corrupt dole need to find jobs and become productive members of society. We can't worry about them if they are not able to adapt.

I hear this argument about the cancer industry too. If we have a cure for cancer, those doctors promoting authorized "treatments," not cures, will certainly lose their jobs. Do we cure cancer or keep the money flow going? Which answer benefits the most people?

The reality of the cancer industry is summarized here.

True. The American Cancer Society was looking to buy corporate aircraft about 15 years ago.
