“It’s a lousy, costly, 19th century business.” From clay, ochre and flint, to the energy and infrastructure to store “the internet of things” (data), we’ve relied on mining for thousands of years. The trouble only started when people started to lose touch and forget ‘where things come from’, and governments became too big. But yes, it’s a good time to buy mining stocks... The market will have to revert back to fundamentals at some stage. The Magnificent Seven only consume, they don’t produce.
