Waiting for the Department of Education to realize there is no more money for "Under-water Basket Weaving" degrees! How will all those professors making their $200.000 or more paychecks survive? How about the one who was the top dog at an Ivy league school, and when she stepped down over a snit.....they turned around and gave her a $600,000 teaching job at the same place. By the way, she was a woman of color. Cut them all off. They teach nothing.

College and graduate school were a complete waste of my time. My parents don't like when I say this.

I'm finally working on getting my online business going.

I tell anyone younger than me to avoid college at all costs. I have a long list of reasons.

Yeah, I’ve been hearing this a lot lately. Hopefully, it wasn’t gender studies or intersectional dance therapy you graduated with! :)

Political science for undergrad. I then went to graduate school for information and cybersecurity. No one would hire me for even entry-level IT positions.

I got stuck working gig and random part-time jobs.

It's probably for the best; I'm now building a self-publishing/writing business.

Well, this would explain why my peers who spent a veritable fortune educating their offspring at Ivy League institutions had children who returned on holiday convinced that men can have babies, using terms such as “people who can give birth” rather than “mothers” and spouting off Marxist ideology. I only wish I was exaggerating. I am a big fan of trade schools now. Those people have more common sense and perform useful tasks.

I would also like to add that many of US universities were once my clients as I determined the overhead rate for federally sponsored research. I hope people begin to ask what actually goes on in our labs and what taxpayers have been funding. I saw things in labs that made no sense to me at the time and makes perfect sense post “pandemic”. I did not know money was pouring in from outside the US but that also makes sense now. I did all the giant projects from Harvard to the University of California schools. It’s a great time to ask questions.

Thanks for the insight, Elizabeth. What’s something you saw in those labs that "made no sense" you at first, if you’re comfortable sharing? No problem if not!

Anyone who saw the embarrassing Aussie 'breakdancer' Racheal 'RayGun' at the Paris Olympics (who got a perfect 0 score) might be interested in what she studied at Macquarie Uni in Australia...

A quick google search:

'Gunn's PhD thesis, Deterritorializing Gender in Sydney's Breakdancing Scene: A B-girl's Experience of B-boying, explored the intersection of gender and Sydney's breaking culture.'.

I saw that. Lol.... In that moment, I was glad I wasn’t Australian, especially if I were one of the poor souls in the audience!

Absolutely and remember the woke, left, green, climate agendas too.

They don’t teach creativity and how to make money or run a successful business.

And most critically they don’t teach how to think.

Love your ideas & writing.

Follow the people who follow he money, including money by other means "benefits" & perqs - like tenure.

The money after all is inanimate-dumb, while many chasers are animate-dumb.
