Because Bidenomics is only the latest episode. The money printing, the rentierism, etc etc has been going on for decades across multiple Presidencies.
Trump printed like mad too, don't you know?
And if you want to say this isn't "capitalism", well, good luck with that. The libertarians are just as nonsensical as the Communists because both decry that the failures of government are because said government aren't <insert -ism> enough.
Highly reminscent of fundamentalist religions in fact.
It is becoming more difficult to find a job for young people. An employer may never see an applicant's resume. A typical job application now receives hundreds to thousands of applicants. Ghost jobs are becoming more common due to HR requirements.
Remote and freelance work allows companies to hire outside the country to find someone who will work for less. This creates global competition for certain online work.
The cost of homes continues to rise. Add on property taxes, maintenance, and other necessities of homeownership.
What is the point? With all of the time spent applying for jobs, which will most likely result in being underemployed anyway, the two options are to give up and drop out or to go out on your own by starting a business that may not succeed.
Looks like the progressive Globalists who've designed our system are leveling the Worldwide job playing field. America is being dissolved for the One World System/Government, so it's very likely the American Dream will certainly be on the chopping block for future American generations.
Great take, thanks. I think another thing is that many young people in Western countries (not just the U.S.) don't really understand where their interests lie. They support open borders, put 'em up in 5-star hotels, refugees welcome all that stuff without realizing that it brings down wages, increases crime (most young people don't live in gated communities, esp. when they are trying to create families), and, down the road, automation. You look at it from the side and it almost looks like a psyop. And then you have all the other stuff both you and I have already mentioned. Caught between a rock and a hard place... truly.
There is more to having a good life than owning a home. 2 people working for thirty years to own one is a big chunk of life. Wish they were more affordable.
Asset price inflation coupled with rentier slumlords - shocked, I am shocked to discover there are failures in capitalism!
The greatest failure of capitalism is that the wrongs of the state and monetary system can be so easily pinned upon it.
The state is part of capitalism - what do you think underwrites and enforces the norms of property rights and what not, which underscore capitalism?
How is all the endless money printing, Bidenomics, and everything else all the previous governments had done the failure of capitalism?

So, over half of the American youth are still in denial.

I promise that if you vote, your candidate will fix this. So don't forget to vote! He'll fix it right away!!
