I loved Meeting some of the Embara on a land tour from a cruise that went through the locks in 2003
They showed us how they dye natural materials for their colorful baskets. I brought home some baskets, a beautiful carved walking stick with an Embar woman. Some of their brilliantly colored fabrics. We went there in a dugout canoe with poles instead of paddles. I wish I knew the name of the village, but it was one, of course, that welcomed to tourists.

I am a Texan of many generations, and have seen this scenario coming for what seems my entire life. At 76 yrs old, and having tried to visit with people about this general scenario for many years, and having gotten no where, I find myself not believing there is any possibility of organizing people that have awakened because there are so few proportionately and we are too spread apart. The idea that communities are going to awaken to the situation and form
up a strategic group is laughable, and I don’t have either the means or the training to put out a general ‘call to arms’ , so to speak.
The only course of action I can think of is to continue to listen to the wise council received in posts such as this, and hope/pray that an avenue of strategic action to be taken presents itself in time.

When we moved to this Southwest Metro Area of Minneapolis 17 years ago there were lakes, trees and wetlands in every direction we would bike or drive. Very little traffic. Now it’s one housing project, apartment building, laboratory, memory care center, office and store after another. A Costco around the corner. Traffic.
I think you and mama bear are incredibly brave to bring baby bear into this crazy world, Michael. I’m a regular supporter for a few years now. Just the basic monthly because that’s what I can do. I appreciate you.

India knows that railway project was not for their benefit but only to speed up bloodsucking, resources stilling and wealth export to the British Empire. Who could blame them for not being thankful for being beaten and robbed for almost three century. The British East India Company was already there from early 1600, enslaving and exploiting Indian subcontinent guarded with their 250,000 soldiers, until the British Empire officially colonised that part of the world in 1858.
