Plus the lack of mechanics fired who maintain fire equipment (100s of vehicles waiting repair) and the donation of "excess" fire equipment to Ukraine including water pumpers/tankers, just what we needed. Corruption abounds when Dems and Commies are present.

Article is spot on. But let me add…

…before California fires there has been years of job and career carnage by companies bowing the knee to DEI as part of hiring, promoting and firing. So there were even more negatively impacted by DEI, than the new number of new California homeless due to this week’s fires.

And let’s not forget New Orleans and lives lost and dozens maimed. DEI at play there as well.. If not simply for the reason a previous fired Oakland police chief relocated to and hired by New Orleans who failed to ensure processes and safety was in place and the already installed street barriers erected.

Do we need more carnage to wake up.

Hey gruesome! Is this the "prescribed burns" your sick twisted ass is talking about!

Nothing will change in California until something breaks. The financial and personal losses (lives) of the general population do not constitute breakage. The same goes for any of the cities (and their populations) that have been devastated by progressive policies (Progress towards what, exactly?) When I think of breakage, I picture what happened in France during the summer of 1789.

I lived in California for my whole life until it became unbearable! This article is true, and it is not about hate! Democrats destroy everything they touch, and DEI does the same. I moved out when it became apparent that the jab was a scam, Gruesome Newsome was locking everyone up, and food was unavailable unless you stood in a line wearing a mask. When you hire without merit, and it is just on a quota; you get who and what you vote for. There are only "appointed" jobs in the running of LA, and they are all in bed with each other, "literally"!. Neither the mayor or the Fire Chief are qualified and this proves it . Global warming is a fantasy of the left, and now you will see the same thing as you saw in Hawaii. Beautiful land being given away to developers to build whatever they want, and insurance companies who will not pay anything. California has been corrupt for years, and 9 people I know moved when I did to get away from the nonsense. Only a liberal with limited knowledge would dispute that. Let them have that hell-hole. I will never go back there to live.

Satellite imagery shows three fires starting at the same time. Coincidence? Or arson?

Bob Moriarty pointed out in an interview 1 day ago that high winds can caused power lines to start fires. That could explain multiple fires starting simultaneously, when the high winds hit the area.

If true, the the story is much deeper and more sinister.

1) …I am reminded of Nero‘s fire in Rome …it will be interesting who will buy that land and rebuilds it… another domus aurea

2) Article sadly loses quality due to non factual style. You can be as incompetent a fire brigade white black male female or whatever - if the water isn’t there, if the highly inflammable brush isn’t cleared out, if the training of the firefighters AND the population isn’t there, when there is no sense of the common good - it is a losing game - nothing to do with climate change also nothing to do with gender. If the quality of the articles go further down the route of mixing factual with non factual slander it is fir me less worth reading.

Will California learn anything from this clear example of how not to manage public financial resources?

No, they won't.

Idiotic priorities are much more valuable in their virtue signaling world, than actually performing their duties to the highest possible caliber, particularly in times of risk or emergency.

Though there are those normal people that suffer needlessly and have lost all, the rich will just buy another thing or house, or car. Heirlooms and family are unimportant to the rich, as such things do not hold sway with the fawning applause the rich require as dearly as the need to breathe.

Judgement day California, and this time it is not in some far away county burning to the ground in the Sierras where most in the cities will never even visit. This time it is right in the swirling heart of the toilet that you have created and you are being flushed right along with your DEI / ESG narrative.

The DEI thing gets even crazier.

Also the Malthusian thugs in California have time and time again failed to support water desalination plants too.

At least one of the gals in that photo could never complete the basic training requirements. Shameful, shameful political elite in California. The Dems hold every position down to dog catcher for 30 years, but nobody thinks to blame them for what California has become in that period. There needs to at least be some opposition party. A one party state for 30 years!
