His point is (might be, seems to be) that immigrants are immigrants. And that nuance, or context, are just words ... just other, lesser, words. "This is a(n) abneg/n/ation of immigrants!"
His point might not include the fact that "immigrants," then & now, are pawn pieces of/for the powers that be...lieve "the power" is their privilege to exercise & impose.
He'd also counter, or should, that "original usa" preceded & predated that name change.

Well thanks for quantifying what I have suspected. Especially after following Michael Yon for the last 5 years or so I have a pretty good idea of what is to come, and it is not pretty.
Now, to your orignal point: when the U.S. declared its independence in 1776, it's estimated that about 10% of the population was foreign-born. This includes immigrants from England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, and other European countries. The total population at the time was around 2.5 million, so about 250,000 people were foreign-born. Google it.

Yes, but it’s also worth noting that these are official numbers, so they most def downplay what’s really happening on the ground.
15% is obviously not the all time high for immigrant population. Nearly all those who made up the original USA were immigrants.

Even if so - which it's not - I'm not sure how this is relevant to the main point being made here.
